Adventureland Ōpeheke is an innovative and holistic early years education for preschool-aged children. We offer state-of-art, childcare facilities, a diverse and thoughtful curriculum and passionate, highly skilled educators to lead the way. Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable day care environment where your child can feel “at home”.
The centre strives for a relaxed atmosphere where each child can feel respected, while being in a place where they can also be challenged and their learning experience extended. Social interaction is key to personal development, and for this reason, we find it important to build strong and authentic relationships with children and their whānau.

Ko Sheryl Dale tōku ingoa.
I am a mother of three grown children and live locally, which strengthens my connection to the community I serve. With nearly 25 years as a kaiako and 17 years as a centre manager, my mahi is grounded in aroha, manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.
Building warm, trusting relationships with whānau is central to my practice and I honour the aspirations they hold for their tamariki as we work alongside one another. My teaching philosophy embraces exploration, values‑based learning and opportunities for tamariki to develop risk competence and resilience. I hold a deep respect for Papatūānuku, seeing the natural world as a powerful teacher that nurtures curiosity and kaitiakitanga.
I am committed to creating inclusive, nurturing spaces where kaiako feel supported to thrive and where every child’s wairua can shine within a community that celebrates them.
